 ADIRONDACKS THIS WINTER!

There’s BIG fun in an Adirondack Winter Vacation!

From world-class skiing on the slopes of Whiteface and Gore Mountain to boarding and snow tubing, as well
as cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and even dogsled rides, winter in the Adirondacks is
full of fun and adventure.

Lake Placid, famous for its Olympic venues and lively nightlife, was just rated Number 1 of Budget Travel's Top 11
Coolest Winter Places in America. You can speed skate around the Olympic Oval and ride the bobsled or White-
face Lake Placid’s eight-passenger Cloudsplitter. A host of posh resorts include the Lake Placid Lodge, Mirror lake
Inn and Whiteface Lodge.

A stylish new train connects the village of North Creek with Amtrak service on the scenic Saratoga & North Creek
Railway. It runs along the Hudson River to skiing and other winter fun at Gore Mountain.

Six Flags Great Escape Lodge, near Lake George is home to a giant indoor waterpark. Find great bargains at
Lake George’s designer outlet centers and fine dining in the village’s unique restaurants.

Other family-friendly attractions include Santa’s Workshop in North Pole, Tubby Tubes snowtubing park in Lake
Luzerne, and world-class nature museums like Tupper Lake’s W!ld Center. Great events range from the North
Country Festival of Trees in November at Glens Falls, to winter carnivals in February at Lake George and Saranac
Lake, to New York State Maple Weekend festivals in March at regional-wide maple farms.
