GI Bill
The Army G1 announced the current policy and procedure for determining the
length of an ADSO based on the Service Member’s qualifying service as of 1 Au-
gust 2009 will end on 1 Aug 2013. After that date, all Service Members will be held
to a four year ADSO regardless of their qualifying years on 1 Aug 2009. Requests
for transfer of benefits are made through MILCONNECT at https://
www.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect/faces/index.jspx and the ADSO starts on the date
the request is approved, not 1 Aug 2009.
