The Magi followed the star to Bethlehem and found Jesus with Mary. They bowed down and worshiped him, presenting gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Gold represented his highest value, frankincense represented devotion and worship, and myrrh represented sorrow and suffering. The Magi were then warned in a dream not to return to Herod and departed for their country by another route.
