This case study examines Environmental Management Accounting (EMA) using Neumann Gruppe Vietnam Ltd. as an example. Neumann Vietnam is a medium-sized Vietnamese coffee refiner and exporter. The study analyzes the relevance of supply chain environmental information for corporate environmental and financial decision making. It also explores opportunities to improve eco-efficiency at the company's operations and within its coffee supply chain. Vietnam is a major robusta coffee producer and exporter, but faces low prices and quality challenges from the international commodity market. Neumann Vietnam adds value through multi-step refinement processes before export.
