This document proposes expanding an existing closed system of research and development centers across New York state into a more connected nanotechnology network. The network would link existing R&D hubs like Albany, Troy, Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, and Stony Brook, as well as new sites, through flexible coLAB clusters that encourage collaboration between industry, academia, and startups. A proposed site plan shows how the network could intersect major routes and waterways to facilitate nanotechnology circulation and collective innovation throughout the region.
