Students are instructed to get into groups of 3 and use 100 pattern blocks to create an image or shape of their choice. They will take a photo of their creation to glue into their book. After, students will view other groups' creations. Finally, they will create a table to record information about the colors used in their pattern block creation, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.

2. 100th Day Pattern Block Party
Directions:
Get into groups of 3. Each group must select 100
pattern blocks (you can pick whatever shape you
want).You mustcreate something withyourblocks. It
could be anything! In the past I have had groups
spell out words, or numbers, make a zoo, a tower, a
flower, an animal, a robot, etc. Onceyou’ve finished
your creation, take a photo of it to glue in your
book. Take a tour to see other groups’ creations.
Finally,create a table (like the one on the next slide)
in your book and fill in the necessary information.
