Ball Possession: Exercises in 1,2 or 3 Grids.
Description: Dividing the playing field into sectors (individual grids) is important in order to convey the concepts of
organization and tactical discipline. In addition, it creates specific situations that the player will face in the game.
From a technical standpoint, the exercises have an important influence on the movements mostly utilized by the player
in the game: ball control upon reception, ball shielding, and passing skill.
Moreover, the “situation” exercises proposed are very effective in stimulating, from a tactical standpoint, the player’s
ability to best positioning himself with respect to ball’s and opponent’s position.
Finally, continuous alternation between attacking and defending situations forces the player to frequent adjustments
and ensures that the exercise is implemented with high concentration level and at high pace.
