If this Giant Must Walk: A Manifesto for a New Nigeria
#1 JOSE THOMAS MEKKAT
1. A NEW KERALA FROM THE MISSION OF JOSE THOMAS MEKKAT
ONE RUPEE FOR CATTLE FIELD
2. One of the main aim is to conduct maximum
awareness programs about the importance of
giving cattle field for a rupee per kilogram which
will be a turning point for the development of
Kerala. By implementing such a scheme, it will
make kerala the largest exporter of meat and milk
products . More over the poverty in Kerala will be
washed off with the multi purpose income arising
out of the indirect strategy of growing maximum
cattle in the world.
3. • More than seventy percent of the people will be
tempted to start farm houses, if this project gets
started because if the problem of food for the
cattle is solved, then the expenses for cattle
cultivation will be almost negligible. So this
project will be the most profitable business as far
a normal family is concerned and there by
poverty in kerala can be minimised to the
maximum
4. • If the number of cattle is more, even the cooking
gas problem can be solved . Not only that,
electricity for a normal house , healthy drinking
milk, doubling the cost of the cattle within a
period of one year, new calfves, cowdung
income and many more, will realy make this
project, as one of the dream realities in the state
of kerala.
5. • This scheme has to be introduced with a finance
scheme to buy the cattle under the guarantee of
the concerned panchayat member. The cattle
will be under the ownership of the government ,
till the loan is cleared. This scheme has to be
promoted by the governent of kerala because of
the multi purpose income it has , during the
various stages.
6. • As the cattle is insured under a particular
scheme, there will not be any losses arising out
of disease or sudden death of the cattle. There
are many leading countries in the world which is
flourishing only due to the income of the cattle .
Farm tourism in Kerala can also be promoted by
promoting special schemes for the growth of
black and white type of cattle.
7. • At present there are only less than 40 lakh
cattles grown in kerala but if this project is
introduced, then kerala will be having a
minimum of 3 crore cattle, within a short span of
time. Now we can just imagine the volume of
buisness , as a result of this venture.
