The roof is used as a year-long industrial ski slope,
for walking, over which it has an urban recreation
center, environmental facilities and education
center, turning it into an architect. Non-skiers enjoy
a sports area, climbing wall, walking track and hills
to view the place.
The place is intended for the social benefit of the
city. In line with the city's goal, the terminal is to be
carbon-free in 2025. The terminal has a clean energy
of 150 houses. It generates 25 percent more energy
than the previous one. The mono is shock-resistant
and insulated, and the southerly vents let in light.

much-anticipated Shanghai Natural History Museum,
has opened in Shanghai. The 44,517 square meter
(479,180 square foot) museum offers visitors the
opportunity to explore the natural world through
the display of more than 10,000 artifacts from all
seven continents. The building includes exhibit
spaces, a 4D theater, an outdoor exhibit garden, and
a 30-meter-tall atrium that welcomes visitors with
an abundance of natural light filtered through a
striking glass wall inspired by the cellular structure
of plants and animals.

grass to provide protection from the sun, absorbs

renovation project led by Hines Italia. Milan’s
Vertical Forest consists of two towers of 80 and 112
meters, hosting 480 large and medium trees, 300
small trees, 11,000 perennial and covering plants
and 5,000 shrubs. The equivalent - over an urban
surface of 1,500 m2 – of 20,000 m2 of forest and
undergrowth.

98th grade using technology. It’s a vast area, but it’s
quiet and filled with indirect light, and it’s powered
by solar panels just south of the building.

States
Project Year: 2017
The headquarters of Apple Inc. in Cupertino,
California, is designed by Foster + Partners and has
been considered an architectural marvel. The neo-
futuristic complex is a ring-shaped building designed
to run on sustainable energy from the solar panels
on top of the structure. The glare to the interiors is
reduced by the canopies installed between each
floor. It is the largest LEED platinum-certified office
building in North America with renewable energy,
green spaces and innovative ventilation systems. The
Ring Building is not the only building on the
complex. Within the inner circular compound lies
the Visitors’ Center, Steve Jobs Theater and Fitness &
Wellness Center.

The client had an ambitious goal for Pixel Building
to become Australia's first carbon-neutral office
building. The solution supported the building in
generating its own power and water through onsite
wind turbines and a green roof that uses
evapotranspiration of greywater from the building.
Designed to be water-balanced, Pixel Building
could, if required, disconnect from the main water
supply and be self-sufficient for all its amenity
needs, excluding occupant drinking.To reduce the
Pixel Building's embodied carbon, the design
employed low-carbon concrete, coined as
Pixelcrete, and recycled sustainably-sourced
building material.The Pixel Building achieved 105
LEED points and scored a perfect 6-Star Green Star
- OfficeDesign v3 rating of 105 points, making it the
highest possible and highest-ever awarded rating
from the Green Building Council of Australia.The
Pixel Building demonstrates how excellence and
innovation can push the boundaries of sustainable
design. While it may be only a small building, its
impact will be felt in the design of other office
buildings here and around the world.
