13 & 20 Sept ember Ft Riley Flag Football Team Tryouts: Looking for a team to get involved with, try out for the Fort Riley Flag Football
Team. Tryouts are being held on Sept. 13 & 20th at 6pm at SACCO Softball Complex. Tryouts are open to active duty soldiers only and the

13 September Forsyth Bark Park: Corvias Military Living has activities planned for the whole Family, even your four-legged Family
members. Bring your furry friends to the Forsyth Bark Park, located on River Road, from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 13 to let them unwind and
socialize with other dogs. Treats also will be available and one lucky dog will win a dog house built by the Corvias Construction Team! Free
and open to all Corvias Military Living Residents. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In the event of rain or high winds, these

13 September Family Movie Outdoor Night: Interested in more people-oriented activities? Gather up your Family and grab your lawn
chairs and head over to the Forsyth community soccer fields to enjoy a Family-friendly movie outdoors on the big screen. Activities
begin and seating opens at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 and the movie will start at dusk. No pets, please. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In

now. Pre-sales will be accepted this year from August 15 thru September 27th. Pre ordering your famous Libby Custer Apple Pie has been
a tradition for many years to ensure you are able to reserve your delicious Apple Pie. Pre orders this year are $11.00 thru September 27,
tax included. By pre-ordering your pie not only are you reserving your pie you will also not have to stand in line on Apple Day as we will
have a separate table for you to pick up your pie if you had not already done so. Pies at apple day will be $13.00 frozen and $14.00 baked.

Mark your calendars!!! FALL APPLE DAY FESTIVAL is going to be October 5th from 9am-3pm at the Artillery Parade Field. We have so
much great stuff for you this year we can't fit it all in one Facebook post!! We have the famous Apple Pies for sale, there is going to be a
petting zoo, carnival rides, a mechanical bull. We also have Humvee rides, a blanks weapon firing range. Not to mention food and live
music and historical reenactments. You have to bring the whole family for this HUGE event!! Parking will be at Riley's Conference Center
with a Trolly to shuttle you to the parade field
IACH Updates: Flu Vaccines- Vaccines will be available at the Fall Festival and other venues, but the numbers maybe limited due to budget
cuts. Other ways to get vaccines for family members-they can get vaccinated at other appointments (like a routine checkup, etc) so they do
not need to make an appointment specifically for it.
8. Ft Riley MP’s If you were victimized from personal Theft in either Warner/Person or Forsyth Neighborhoods and didn’t file a report the Ft
Riley Police have confiscated unclaimed property from the suspects. Please contact the MP station for more information at 785-239-6767 so
you can claim your belongs.
Ft Riley HOUSE Watch program: there are two programs to help with neighbor watch if you need to leave for extend times from your home
while living on post: (1) you can go to the MP station and fill out a request for the MP’s to drive by and check on the house or (2) go to your
neighborhood office and complete a form.
“Use Your Head Campaign Program”: New program starting up on 3 September. The program recognizes those children they find following
the rules and obeying the safety guidelines. The positive approach to doing the right thing for children. This is a program to which the MP
or Military Police officers will give children who are doing the right things on post! They will give them a ticket which will be red in color to
take to their neighborhood office to receive a prize.
MP’s/Military Police: are going around post to ensure vehicle’s are secure. If they find unsecure vehicle’s they are placing a white courtesy
cards in or on the vehicles windshields to let them know they found their vehicle unsecured. Please remember to lock your vehicles and keep
valuables put away.

9. Army Family Action Plan (AFAP)-The AFAP is an Army-wide Program that allows all members of the Army, Retired Military, Family
members and Civilian Employees to identify issues of concern that impact the well being of the entire Army Family. Through this process,
issues requiring actions are prioritized, assigned to a lead agency for resolution, and an action plan is established to achieve desired
change. “You” can make a difference and be a part of this conference. Let “YOUR VOICE BE HEARD.” They are looking for Delegates to
help work the issues that are submitted, Volunteers to assist with the Conference and most of all issues…YOUR Issues.
AFAP dates are as follows:
•Teen AFAP is September 28th at the Middle School Teen Center from 9:00am – 3:00pm (flyer is waiting for approval, as soon as I get it I
will get it out to you).
•Adult Conference is October 8-9 at Riley’s Conference Center from 8:30am – 2:30pm (flyer is attached). Child care is available if
registered prior to September 27, 2013.

It is that time of year again, brush off the dust of your aprons, hairnets and hats. HASFR is in need on Volunteers to make those amazing
pies. They have a new location this year for the pie making. The pie making this year will be at the DFAC on MAAF (BLDG 813). See the

Junction City High School Booster Club: is looking for Volunteers to help work at the “End Zone” from 5:00pm - 9:30pm or until halftime
or until the food runs out. Do not need to have a food handler’s card. Looking for 6-10 Soldiers and/ or Family members to work for
the entire time for the 4 home games (schedule listed below), Soldiers can earn Volunteer hours towards their MOVSM, they will receive a
letter from the Booster Club President. Last year they had several Soldiers help out and work towards their MOVSM’s. Free entrance to
