especially during summer” and that he would built a new summer palace

palace“Dusit.”Constructionstartedin1899andcontinuedonandofffora

	 	 	 Between February 10 - 12, 2003, during a visit to perform the royal
duties in Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom provinces, Her Royal
Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn went to observe the work
progress of the Baan Huai Yang Nuer Child Development Center in
Srisuphan District and the Promotion and Development Center for
Toddlers by Senior Citizens of Baan Kud Sakoy in Kudsumal District,
SakonNakhonProvince.Intheevent,HerRoyalHighnesspresenteditems
to the children’s caretakers and the representative of the children after
which she watched performances by the children as well as various
activities being carried out at the centers. She also visited the housewives’
group and observed their textile weaving work.
	 	 	 On this trip, Her Royal Highness visited several schools including
Baan Bon Saharat Uthit School and Baan Ngiew Siriras Bumrong in
Kusumal District, Sakon Nakhon Province; Baan Had Sai Phey Border
Patrol Police School, Tha Utane District, Nakhon Phanom Province; and
ConradHenkelBorderPatrolPoliceSchool,PhoanSawanDistrict,Nakhon
PhanomProvince.Attheseschools,HerRoyalHighnesspresenteditemsto
theteachers,theborderpatrolpoliceteachers,andthestudentrepresentatives
