- 2. In 2003, newcity and mel decided to have a dog. One day, we went to the flower-market where there was a regular adoption activity. Some dogs and cats are over there. newcity saw a short-leg dog hid aside. The volunteer there said this dog was timid and chicken-hearted, he was afraid of everything.
- 3. As we wentto him, suddenly, he stood upon newcity’s leg with his short legs. We thought he must like us. That’s why we decided to take him home. mel named him “Garou”( 嘎戶 ). That day was 09/14/2003.

- 6. As Christmas came, mel knitted the clothes and crochet the cap for him to be Santa.
- 7. When Garou hadadapted to our family, we thought Garou needed social life, so we took him to some parks where we called “elementary-school” to let him make dog friends. But, Garou was really chicken-hearted.

- 15. As you haveseen, We went to parks, went to beach. We also went hiking. See! Garou had already visited Taipei 101…
- 16. We were sohappy on that day. Unfortunately, This was the last day we were together. As on the way home, We got an accident. Our motorcycle was slide because of the rainy day. Then we all fell down. Garou was terrified, and he struggled to the chain and ran away. He ran so fast that even I ran after him but can’t catch him up. We tried our best to do everything we can do to look for him. But we still can’t get him back. That day was 10/17/2004.

- #2 Today, I would like to share my story with you. The story is “the one year of my life”. About 5 years ago, my boy-friend and I decided to have a dog. We don’t want to buy it, because we know there are so many homeless dogs waiting for adoption. One day, we went to the flower-market where there was a regular adoption activity.
