The Big Idea Life skills are fundamental to child/youth development, to the successful transition into adulthood and becoming fully functioning and productive members of our society. Objectives - Dream Sports Program Moving beyond the child’s basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, academic education and focusing on developing life skills through the medium of sports   Non-traditional educational opportunities  Designed to explore, innovate and build important  life skills.  Use fun and experiential mediums
Program Structure Partnership model  (Dream A Dream- Owner of the program, Partner NGO- giving accessibility to Children, Sporting Academy- Providing Professional Coaches)  Project period-  Min - 3 years and max - 8 years for School going children Enrolment - 7 to 13 years Sessions - 90 minutes long sessions, 2 times in a week. Average of 60-65 sessions in a year for batch Training  coaches on Life Skills and Creative Engagement with Children

Program Impact A sophisticated quantitative measurement,  Dream Life Skills Assessment Tool , is used to assess the effectiveness of the medium in delivering life skill curriculum and to measure child’s progress on life skills parameters
Program Delivery  A Comparative Picture Creative Arts Program Sports (Rugby) Program Dream Sports program impacts all life-skills parameters uniformly Dream Creative Arts Programs helps bring maximum improvement on 2 of the life skills parameters: Child’s Interpersonal skills and ability to understand concepts / willingness to Follow instructions

The Football Story Number of children Overall performance on life-skills parameters over a period of 3 years In 2007 we inducted 15 children from partner NGO- Ananya in our Dream Football. 5 of the children still continue to attend the program. Prasanna Prasanna, 19 years old currently works as a Sports Leader in our Dream Football Program and completing his high school (Pre University Course).  To quote Prasanna, “ I adore to learn about computers, reading books, playing hockey, also I want to study further . ”
Arunkumar Arunkumar, 19 years old currently works as a Sports Leader in our Dream Football Program and plays professional Hockey “ Now, at 19, it’s my turn to ‘give back’ to nurture Dream Sports Program such that many children like me can grow up with hope and live their dream.”
