Introduction
• We chose this theme , schools for models,
because more and more we see girls and boys
who dream of being models. These schools
have a key role for those who want to follow
the way of fashion.
Schools for models
• Modeling schools focus on teaching
students about fashion and acting.
Modeling is about conveying an attitude
and telling a story, and schools for
modeling help students with this.
• They also help students understand
fashion design, and the fashion world in
general. Fashion design is a craft that
many models pursue.
What are the requirements to be a
model?
• There is no escape from the fashion market
and its standards. For women and men some
measures related to the height, bust, waist
and hip must be respected, this is.
• Usually women get into the fashion world
between 14 and 18 but men mostly around
16.
• Fashion models need to be charismatic,
creative, determinated, passionate and
energetic.
Women’s ideal body types throughout
history
• Women have been shown in a variety of
shapes and sizes. Beauty ideals have
changed over the years.
• While today's ideal body is more Beyoncé
or Kim Kardashian, there was once a time
when flat chests and boyfish figures were
considered the most desirable.
• And this video reminds us just how much:

What is the difference between
catwalk model and photo model?
• The runway model is a person who offers
his body as a channel where the designer
demonstrates his creativity, usually in
parades.
• The good side of being a runway model is
that is possible to shoot, parade, do
business, which provides a higher income
but then these models can not gain
weight at all.
Some runway models:
Gisele Bundchen
Alessandra Ambrosio
Adriana Lima
Bruna Tenorio
• Photo model is the person who performs
poses for photos of commercial products,
magazine covers…
• The model plays a role which will be
estabilished by a stage director, a
photographer.
Our opinion
• Models’ schools have the important function
as help young people who want to be models
to behave as such, have a good attitude and
posture and learn more about the area.
• In our opinion, the models, especially those
participating in parades, should not be so
thin.
• We also realized that being a model is a hard
job and not as glamours as one might think.
