This document discusses the PlusCity project, which analyzed data from Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, and other social media platforms to document how public space and interaction changed during the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche arts festival in Toronto from 2010-2012. It visualized geotagged Twitter data to map installations and participant "buzz". The project explored how social media influenced embodied actions and public norms during the massive public event. It provided insights into using social data for urban planning and designing civic engagement.
