010 root growth response to inputs
1. 010 ROOT GROWTH RESPONSE TO INPUTS
Roots respond to the quality of organic inputs that are provided.
Onions can be used to study these responses with much ease.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
Plastic jars or bottles
Onions
Organic liquid fertlisers
2. A B C
plain water 5% natural
liquid fertiliser
(vermiwash)
5% another
natural fertiliser
Remove the caps of the jars. Fill “A” with plain water, “B” with vermiwash
(details given in this manual), and “C” with what you wish to prepare

Place an onion each on these jars with root zone facing the liquids.
In case the onions you have are smaller, pass a tiny stick across the onion

Check for the roots as they grow and you can be sure that they grow
best in the liquid which they like best. In this experiment you can see
roots grow well in 5% vermiwash solution.
