8. The 4 Criteria
According to the UK government website,
you need to satisfy four criteria before UK
student visa application:
• Have an offer letter from a licensed
student sponsor
• Have enough money support yourself
and pay for your course
• Can speak, read, write and understand
English
• Have written consent from your parents
if you are 16 or 17

9. UK Student Visa Application
Before you proceed to apply for Tier-4 student visa in the UK, it is
essential to make sure that you have the required documentready.
• A valid passport (or other accepteddocuments)
• Proof of funds to cater to your living costs during yourcourse
• CAS reference number – Confirmation ofAcceptance for
Studies
• Documents used for obtaining the CAS
• Colour photographs (passport size)
• If needed, screening forTuberculosis
• Any additional requirements, as per the university

HEALTHCARE
UK’s NHS (National
Health Service) is one
of the world’s best
healthcare systems.
A Safe Student Life
As an international student, you pay
the healthcare fee duringyour visa
application and it covers free medical
treatment and reduced price dental
care at an NHS dentist. Foreign
students do not need private medical
insurance when studying in the UK.

Work While Studying

15. International students can work if they study at a
university or college that is listed on both the
official UKVI sponsor list and the list of UK
government recognised bodies. You are allowed
to work up to 20 hours per week during the
semester and extended time duringsemester
break.
Further, after completion of studies, international
students will now be allowed to stay back upto 2
years in the UK under the Post-StudyWork
(PSW) scheme.
