3. Event Set-Up and Linens
Tables, chairs and in-house linens for groups of up to 125 guests are included in
the basic rental fees. Special requests for basic audio/visual equipment and
custom set-up will be quoted as needed.
Guest Guarantees
A guarantee for the number of guests attending an y private function scheduled
for lunch must be received at least 72 hours (3 business da ys) in advance. Guest
guarantees for dinner functions must also be received at least 72 hours (3 business
days) in advance. Final guarantees are not subject to reduction.
Service Charge and Taxes
Food and beverage items are subject to 20% service charge. All charges will
include a 7% sales tax, including miscellaneous charges.
Room Capacities
The City Club’s facilities can accommodate up to 300 guests and a flexible floor
plan allows event hosts to select the perfect space. The Georgian Room may be
divided into smaller areas when requested. Events may also be held in the
stately Mulberry Room, and in the intimate Oglethorpe Room. The City Club
reserves the right to change the assigned room based on guaranteed attendance
and the collective needs of our members and guests.
Menu and Private Functions
Arrangements for all meetings and private events are implemented through the
catering department. To ensure quality service, all menu selections must be
confirmed at least two weeks prior to scheduled events. Custom menu planning
is also available upon request.
Room Rental and Food and Beverage Minimum
The City Club of Macon will waive room rental charges for all members in
good standing. Non-members of the City Club will be required to assume a
room charge fee. If the Club is requested to open or close for a private function,
an opening charge or food and beverage expenditure will be assessed.

Events that need an additional day for set-up or that require the use of the
Club for rehearsals may buy out the previous rental day for the minimum rental
price. As a community courtesy, rental rates are discounted 25% for all non-
profit organizations.
