3. What is cruelty?
Animal cruelty can come in many forms
and can be towards wild animals,
pets.
farm animals.
But today, I am going to discuss further on cruelty done on wild animals in
circuses.
4. TO RAISE AWARENESS AMONG THE YOUNG GENERATION ABOUT
WHAT IS FACED BY OUR FELLOW FOUR LEGGED AND FURRY
COUSINS OF THE ANIMAL KINGDOM.
TO STEP FORWARD AS THE VOICE THAT SPEAKS ON BEHALF OF
THE ANIMAL KINGDOM.
TO SHOW THAT THE LIVES OF ANIMALS ARE AS PRECIOUS AS OUR
OWN.
5. LETS START WITH CRUELTY TOWARDS WILD
ANIMALS.
What is wild animals?
- undomesticated animals living in the wild.
Majestic beast that are currently being wiped out form the face of this
planet as we speak.. and no one is to be blamed but the human race.
The day will come when u will only be
see them in museums .
6. Wild animals like the tigers are being dragged from their natural habitats and
being used as ‘entertainment’ for us humans.
But because tigers and lions in circus acts must perform specific acts at
precise times and “the show must go on,” positive reinforcement is not the only
method used by circus trainers or night club magician.
7. Is this what these majestic animals were born to
do?
8. What lies behind the ‘harmless’ shows we see will
stun you.
Often the cats are beaten,
starved (they need essential vitamins for their growth..and they need red
meat
confined for long periods of time
in order to get them to cooperate with what the trainers want. And life on
the road means that most of a cat’s life is spent in a circus wagon in the back
of a semi-truck or in a crowded, stinking box car on a train or barge.
9. Do you want to see such beautiful animals suffer
like this?
10. Elephants are mainly the main focus of a circus
Elephants are actually gentle creatures. These animals never harmed us, yet
they have to suffer such an unwilling fate.
11. They are chained(chains are very heavy)the chains are so strong that you
need an equipment to take it off, starved(they need specific grass, if you
feed with different grass they’ll be sick, electrocuted(worst part is that they
cannot run away), beaten, tortured(loneliness kill them, social creatures, if
they are isolated they go mad thus causes bad effects to them) to say simply.
12. Take a good look at what they have to go through.. to
please us. A newly born baby elephant.. Separated
from their mother at such young age..
13.
14.
15. Forced to wear tight
chains around the
ankles for 24 hours
16. This news became nationwide known as she was beaten and tortured using
pitchfork by her sadistic Romanian keeper. She was being hit 48 times!!!!
17. Confinement towards wild animals…
• Stereotypic behaviour
-abnormal repetitive behaviour in captive animals
• It can be:
- bar biting
- head bobbing
- licking/tongue playing
- self-mutilating
- swaying/pacing
19. Conclusion
• So, it is obvious that circus is no place for animals.
• Not fair for animals to perform senseless and demeaning tricks
for the benefit of impressionable children.
• Time to show respect to these animals as an individuals like us.
• WHAT YOU SEE, ISN’T WHAT THEY SEE!!!
