You will be assigned to use a LOCAL, NATIONAL, or
INTERNATIONAL focus.
Choose one of these environmental issues:
an alien animal invades a different ecosystem
the balance has been broken in an ecosystem,
weather changes affect ecosystems,
start protecting an endangered animal!
After research, you will:
1. Write a newspaper article in present tense informing your audience
about your issue and raising awareness about it.
2. Create a piece of multimedia using technology to inform your
audience about your issue and raising awareness about it.
3. Find and contact an organization that is doing something positive
to change the issue you have researched. Your multimedia piece
needs to include this information and let your audience know how
they can help.
4. ADVOCACY / ACTION: Your two pieces of work WILL BE
SENT BY YOU to at least one organization that is doing
something positive about the issue you looked at.
The focus of both the newspaper article and multimedia piece should
be on informing the audience and promoting advocacy for change
through what you have learned about the interdependence in
ecosystems.
