2. At first we have to know what are the fundamental needs
to make a garments. The fundamental needs are
1. Men
2. Machine
3.Metarial
4. Method.
If we boost those needs then production will be boost
automatically .
CAUSE EFFECT
Now we will discuss about those fundamental needs one by
one and also describe how can boost those needs.
MEN MACHINE
METARIAL METHOD
OUTPUT
3. MEN
Definition : -
Any one involve with the garments making process. Great
people make great products. Increase the efficiency of your
work force by following some best practices in man power
management.
4. How to Boost: -
a) Make the GET-PUT motion shorter – Men's best short
motion is finger motion and best longer motion is full
body motion . So make your Lay-Out based on shorter
motion.
b) Reduce sewing Bust – At sewing time need to train the
people to complete their tusk by single bust.
c) Remove unnecessary motion – At sewing time some
people use hand wheel to set needle for positioning ,
unnecessary body jerking , parts folding and aligning twice
or more - this is a inherent work content . Need train the
people to avoid this work.
d) Rhythm – Train the people to complete their task as
rhythmic way. Best rhythm create less fatigue. If you do
your job as rhythmic way you will get less fatigue.
5. MACHINE
Definition : -
Any equipment , tools etc. required to accomplish the job.
Design , Installation and Maintenance of durable precise
machines reduce waste , save money and creates more precise
products.
6. How to Boost: -
a) Do the machine servicing as routine way – Need the
machine servicing must . Also need to hang the machine
maintenance chart all of the machine . Then everybody
can identify as the machine is ok or not.
b) Get maximum performance from your machine :- To get
more speed from your machine adjust motor pulley ,
folder , gage , pressure foot based on fabric and style.
7. MATERIAL
Definition : -
Raw materials such as fabric , thread , lining etc. used to
produce the final products.
8. How to Boost: -
a) Critical path analysis :- Strongly follow-up the critical path
i.e. your material should be in-house as scheduled time .
Make sure your line have sufficient work.
b) Inventory :- Apply the best inventory practices . Wrong
inventory create unstable production.
9. METHOD
Definition : - How the process is performed for doing it such as
policies , procedures , rules , regulation and law.
10. How to Boost: -
a) Continuous feeding : This is the first method to increase
line productivity. Idle minutes make the worker Lazy.
Continuous work make the worker faster and faster .
b) Reduce unnecessary movement in your line lay-out :- Have
to avoid unnecessary movement i.e. Searching , Walking ,
transport etc. As for example if all parts coming serially
then no need searching to match parts to attach.
c) Set correct man / machine for defined operation :- it’s a
necessary roles . Unsuitable man / machine create low
efficiency.
d) Daily set plan for production and quality :- Have to set
preplan how to achieve production target and maintain
the asking quality level.
e) Worker motivation :- To get less absenteeism and more
productivity you need to motivate the worker.
11. f ) Operation balancing :- By using capacity study Everybody
can identified what is the individual process capacity
.From this we found some operation have below and some
operation have over capacity . Need to balance from over
to below.
g ) Job accountability :- All Factory staffs are responsible for
production. Must record the lost minute . Need to call a
meeting for open discussion to minimize the lost minute –
it will be daily or weekly.
h ) Real time production monitoring and chasing :- In
production floor every second is valuable . Need to record
hourly production and find out the root cause of low
production and also make a corrective action to resolve
this. Always try to chess your production time to time , it
should be hourly not end of the day.
