WORK EXPERIENCE
Communication Intelligence Analyst
Minerva Engineering – 2015 to Present
 Create, prototype, test, and deliver defensive concepts, techniques, algorithms, and products for defending
and detecting compromises of classified networks employing “wireless technologies”.
 Facilitate the test, calibration, verification, and validation of the defense techniques, development of
exploitation techniques and/or systems.
 Discover hardware and software vulnerabilities in commercial mobile devices (smart phones & tablets) and
mobile device infrastructure deployments, and evaluate and provide a comprehensive report of potentially
compromised mobile devices provided by customers.
 “Wireless technologies” includes common wireless local area network (LAN) standards (802.11, 802.16 etc),
wireless PAN standards (802.15, etc), near field communications (NFC) and commercial carrier network
communications (GSM, CDMA, WCDMA-UMTS, LTE, etc).

U.S. Navy – 2001 to 2015
 14 years signals analyst experience. - Taught basic and advanced analysis concepts, communication
methodologies, and practical applications to assist intelligence analysts at both the national and theater level.
 Developed and revised current Communication Intelligence courses, conducted on-podium instruction of
developed courseware, management of students and classroom work and activities.
 Created new course curriculum in conjunction with government analysts, management, and members of the
Intelligence Community.
 Developed Subject Matter Expertise to the growing changes to the Signals Intelligence discipline through
attendance and participation of technical conferences as well as conducting briefings to high level Intelligence
Community and DoD officials.
 Provided analytic support for the development of new exploitation capabilities against both known and newly
identified targets. Wrote and published Informational Technical Notes (ITN) for the intelligence community on
the findings on the signal structure and internal data format.
 Conducted and supervised signals search, analysis, target identification, and reporting operations beyond the
skills capabilities of Communications Collection Operators.
 Strong briefing skills and capable of effectively directing subordinate analysts in the accomplishment of
intelligence products and assessments.
 Performed signal search, analyzed and reported known new and unusual signals using UNIX /Linux operating
system based signal analyzers, amplitude, angle, pulse modulation techniques, advanced bit stream analysis,
error detection and correction, digital communication principles, packet switching, modems, multiplexers,
multiple access spread spectrum, satellite and cellular systems.
 Performed analysis of new and unusual signals using bit stream analysis.
 Solid experience with multiple Internet Protocol (IP) technologies; with an understanding of the OSI model
along with protocols associated with it applying it to mapping of physical links in a logical format.
 Knowledge of modern modulation and multiplexing schemes.
 Provided analytical and operational support for tactical and strategic mission intelligence systems
