Overall Aim
DASBE seeks to create a National Digital Academy that enables the Construction Industry,
SMEs, Manufacturers and Workers to upskill and gain new knowledge in a cost effective,
worker centric learning environment.
Objectives
• To develop a National Digital Academy which, by 2023, will host 20 On-line and Blended Learning
programmes in relevant fields. This will grow to over 40 programmes engaging a minimum of 2,000
learners by 2025
• Create a Programme Design, Development and Deployment model (D3) which will enable rapid
response to market needs in response to technology, policy and industry needs
• Expand the DASBE Consortium to include a minimum of 5 Enterprises and 5 IoTs by 2024, thus ensuring
sustainability of the initiative.
• Develop a robust strategic and business plan, by 2024, for the growth and continuation of DASBE.
16. Bringing it all Together
A Hub for provision of upskilling, capacity building and
education in the building sector on green construction, circular
economy and digital skills
• Low energy buildings to Virtual Reality
• Rapid Design, Development and Deployment
• On-line, blended and face to face approaches
• Digital Platform enabling access to Micro Credentials through
to Major Awards
• Connecting R & D with Education and Training
• Connecting Industry demand with Local Provision

Editor's Notes
In response
Here are a few of the energy projects that TUS are involved in:
It all started with Qualibuild and the Irish Roadmap -BUSI Build UP skills project and the FP7 project a2pbeer where LIT carried out TtT and trainings in 9 countries on retrofitting public buildings and districts.
LIT prepared business plans in Train the Trainer to develop nZEB training centres and managenergy trains energy agencies and escos in financial energy schemes.
FactHP and HP4All researches the efficiency of heat pump design and installations whilst superhomes 2030 are involved in the deep retrofitting of homes
and micro-learnings developed in BIMzeED, construction blueprint, bunrs and busleague will all feed into DASBE
Ambition requires action: Mutual Recognition Agreements and the Upskilling transformation”
So the objectives of DASBE
1. is to rapidly develop relevant, flexible programmes
We collaborate with the industry and educational partners to address skills gaps and future needs in the sector and work with you
VR training is currently being developed as an educational tool to support some of our new courses.
