A funny face is being pulled to show her youth and that she doesn’t care about what people think about her. Her head is over lapping the masthead as the magazine company feel confident enough to cover it up a little bit. The barcode/price is on the front because the back will be a advertisement and they will have paid a lot for money to advertise on the back so they wont want a barcode on it. The masthead is big and blocked letters and it is always the same on every edition so that people automatically know its ‘vibe’ when they see this text, it shows that they are confident to cover it up in places as people will still be able tell which magazine it is as the Masthead is repeating. This magazine is aimed at male and females as women will idolise her as she is sexy and they will use her as a role-model as she is thin and longed legs with flawless skin. 2. 2. It is showing the target audience how much information there is in the music magazine and that it isn't all about music and it includes fashion from celebrities and there music styles. The title ‘contents’ is bold and clear, her foot is overlapping the bottom of T and S but they are still clear and readable to the audience. There is a V outline in the background to show that it is the contents page of the ‘Vibe’ music magazine, it is white and clear to see so you notice it as soon as you open the magazine to this page. This magazine is aimed at male and females as women will idolise her as she is sexy and they will use her as a role-model as she is thin and longed legs with flawless skin and posing. It is telling the target audience the true side of a story about her lying on the floor. Her name stands out so that people who don’t recognise her will notice her name straight away. The title of one of her well known songs is bold and clear, there is nothing overlapping it and the font is elegant showing the type of song it was and it is clear and easy for the target audience to read. Florence is sitting on a step with a short dress on that is showing her legs so that women will idolise her figure as she is tall, slim and sexy and men will be interested in this page as it is showing her flawless skin and she is holding a pose for the target audience.
  4. 4. His jacket is open to show his tattoos off that represent he has money plus he is wearing 2 necklaces with big medallions and a cross to show his religion. His collar is up to show he is gangster. He is pulling a straight face to how he is serious he is about his music and reputation as an artist. His head is over lapping the masthead of the magazine company, this has being done as the company ‘vibe’ feel confident enough to cover it up a little bit. The barcode/price is on the front because the back will be a advertisement and they will have paid a lot for money to advertise on the back so they wont want a barcode placed on it and covering any of the advert up. The masthead is big and blocked letters and it is always the same on every edition so that people automatically know its ‘vibe’ when they see this text, it shows that they are confident to cover it up in places as people will still be able tell which magazine it is as the Masthead is repeating. The target audience of this magazine is male and females as men will idolise him because he is well-known, rich, good body and gets all the women but women will be attracted to his magazine as he is good looking and shows his body of in the photo.
  5. 5. This sidebar is showing all the information that is included in the magazine and page numbers of the information. All of the titles are bigger and in capitals so they are clear and noticeable for the target audience. The title ‘contents’ is bold and clear, nothing is overlapping it as it is only small and placed in the corner of the page. There is a small ‘Q’ in the corner of the page showing that the magazine name is ‘Q’, by doing this people will remember the name of the magazine and purchase it again. The picture is clear, it is showing there whole bodies and there outfits, they all has serious faces to represent there emotions about music and there careers. Men will want to be them as they are seen as good-looking and wealthy but women will want to read more about them as they are attractive. There is a special section just for ‘Oasis’ as this edition of the ‘Q’ magazine is based on ‘oasis’: there music and style.
  6. 6. There is a lot of information shown on this double page spread and it is all about ‘the vaccines’. It is telling the target audience about how there music career has taken off dramatically over the past year and how they have come together as band to that the target audience are correctly informed about there relationship as a team. The band name is clear and bold so that it is easy for the target audience to read, the colour of it is just plain as they want the attention to be on the text not just the title of the band. They are all looking extremely serious and pale, two of the males are holding there guitars, this is showing that they play there own music and they don’t rely on a backing band all the time.
  7. 7. There is a tag line added above the masthead that isn't usually there but due to it being the Christmas edition then it is telling the target audience so they know why it is using effects such as snow. A smug smile is being shown here so showing that he is planning something that no-one knows about. The masthead is overlapping his hairline showing that they are trying to emphasize the masthead: ‘NME’ for the target audience as they will notice the masthead more. The barcode/price is on the front because the back will be a advertisement and they will have paid a lot for money to advertise on the back so they wont want a barcode on it. The masthead is big and blocked letters and the font is always the same on every edition so that people automatically know its ‘NME’ when they see this text, in this edition they have added snow to the masthead as it is the Christmas edition of the magazine. This magazine is aimed at male and females because the males will want to be like him as he is wealthy and well know to have money but the women will want to read more about him so they know all the news about what he is planning as they may see him as sexy or good-looking. They are stereotyping Simon Cowell as the Grinch as he can be nasty and tight just like the Grinch is, also due to it being the Christmas edition it fits into the magazines layout.
  8. 8. The two women who are featured on the contents page are standing in a serious way as they are placing their hands on there hips and holding a straight or pouting face. The title ‘contents’ is bold but it is layed out differently as the letters are broken up into 3 lines. But other than that it is clear and easy to read for the target audience. There is a list of subheading showing us what the magazine includes and the information that it being told. It also tells us the page numbers that they are on as people may only want to read a few stories and not all of them. The picture is clear, it is showing there whole bodies and there outfits, they both are wearing short dresses that show their chest areas and also they are showing ¾ of their legs. Male and females will be attracted to this photo and women will want to look like them as they are slim and have perfect skin but are also fashionable but men will want to look at them as they may see them as ‘sexy’ and ‘good looking’
  9. 9. She is holding a pose that is showing that she doesn’t care about what people think of her, this pose matches the heading as she is just being herself. She has her hands on the hips and has an open moth expression to emphasize that she doesn’t care. She hasn’t got much skin showing and her outfit isn't revelling, showing that she isn't attention seeking. The page heading is clear and blocked letters so it is easier for the target audience to read, but the font that is used is an uneven sized letters and this is a spontaneous font to show that she is a spontaneous type of singer and song writer. There name is in a different colour text and also a different font, this is to show who she is so if the target audience don’t know, they will notice her name as soon as they open the double page spread.
