2. WHAT IS SMART HOUSE.PART I.
A house which is very functionally designed and which
derives all its inputs for proper functioning from NATURE,
with ample natural light, ventilation and does not depend
upon any mechanical gadgets for its functioning.
It is energy efficient, uses materials which have low
embodied energy and which are eco friendly such as clay,
thatch, bamboo, wood etc.
It does not depend upon any external agency but
generates its own resources to fulfills basic livelihood
needs
In short it merges well with surrounding nature, uses
locally available material, encourages local labor and
craftsmanship , uses recycled materials and adds value to
the owner.
