Ideas for CD covers This presentation will explain how I arrived at my final three ideas from the research of existing CD covers.
Comparing my design with an existing product I used ‘ The Rasmus’ (s) title as inspiration and tried to make a similar title for my design. Although I did not use a landscape as the background for this design, I did decide to use an artistic picture of a tree, giving a similar effect.
Comparing my design with an existing product When designing this cover, I took into consideration feedback from my questionnaire which revealed that the torn up effect used on Hockey’s cover was popular. I tried to recreate this effect for my prototype. A close up of ‘the artist’ is used in both, it is quite simple, yet effective. This design would also be in black and white if I were to make it.
