ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE POST OF "Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) Civil"
1 Qualification BE (Civil) / B.Tech (Civil) with minimum 60 % marks for UR category candidates &
PGVCL 55% for reserved category candidates. (Aggregate of 7th & 8th semester, both
semester to be cleared in first attempt) from the recognized University / Institute.
2 Age PGVCL Below 35 years for reserved category & below 30 years for UR Category candidates
as on date of advertisement (i.e. 26.08.2010).
3 Remuneration Fixed remuneration for 1st & 2nd year would be Rs.13000, Rs.14000 respectively per
PGVCL month. No other allowances or benefits would be admissible except coverage under
Personal Accident Policy, Reimbursement of T.A. /D.A. as per rules.
4 Vacancies 05 (UR-01,SEBC-01,SC-01,ST-02)

The management reserves the right to short list, select or rejects any candidates for written test / Oral Interview
as the case may be for selection.
■The management reserves right to cancel Select list / Waiting list at any time at it's sole discretion, without
assigning any reasons thereof.
The application is liable to be rejected, if it is not in conformity with given Performa, incomplete, illegible, and
unsigned or without requisite certificates and receiving after closing date, without assigning any reasons
thereof. Copy of School Leaving Certificate is must for Birth / Age verification.
PGVCL will not be responsible for any postal loss / delay of receipt of application. Canvassing in any form
shall debar the candidate from selection.
The Selected Vidyut Sahayak Candidates shall be appointed for duration of two years and shall be considered
for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) in the pay scale of Rs. 17300-38610 after successful
completion of the period of two years as Vidyut Sahayak.
■Selected Candidate shall have to work any where under the jurisdiction of PGVCL
■Mere submission of application does not guarantee the adequacy of candidature for being considered for the
further selection process.
Those employed in Govt. Department / PSU should apply through proper channel OR submit "No Objection
Certificate" along with application.
The selected candidate shall have to produce relieving letter from the previous employer at the time of resuming
duties in the company.
Knowledge of computer and Gujarati language is must.
■Candidate, who is applying against any quota as narrated above, may write the same in application form in
respective column.
■SEBC candidates shall have to submit latest Creamy layer certificate -"Annexure-A" for the year 2010.
The candidate appointed has to carry out civil work in the field & has to carry out extensive field work and day
to day traveling. Looking to nature of duties, the candidates applying for this post
