How to apply:
The prescribed Application Form may be downloaded from the University website www.nehu.ac.in .
and must be accompanied by an application fee of Rs.300/- (Rupees three hundred) only for
General(UR)/OBC candidates and Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred fifty) only for SC/ST candidates. Persons
with Disabilities (PWDs) are exempted from payment of application fee. The fee may be paid through
University Challan available in the University Administrative Building for cash deposit in the State Bank
of India, NEHU Branch OR the downloadable SBI Power Jyoti e-Challan for cash deposit in any other
branch of State Bank of India.
Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque will not be accepted.
The filled in application form with complete details along with the paid and sealed/signed e-challan of
the required amount be sent to the Section Officer, Estt.I(Apptt), NEHU, Mawkynroh, Umshing, Shillong
– 793022. The candidate should mention “Application for the post applied for” in bold letters on top
of the envelope.
E-Challan Payment Procedure for FEE Collection using SBI Power Jyoti Product.
1. Fees and charges
Bank Charges of Rs. 40/- for each challan is extra.
2. Instructions
1. The applicant is required to fill data in all the fields, failing which the e-challan will not be
generated.
2. After filling in all the fields, the candidate is required to click on the submit button. On doing so,
a screen will pop out and the candidate is required to print the system generated e-challan/s for
payment of the applicable fee as "Payment through cash challan at SBI Branch".
3. After printing out the the e-challan (containing the Name, Date of Birth, Unique application
number, Amount, Post applied for) the candidate can approach any SBI Branch for deposit of
cash the NEXT DAY. Deposit of Cash on the same day of the generation of the e-challan is not
possible.
4. The University will provide the records of applicants who have registered for e-challan payment
to SBI on the same day so that it can be uploaded to SBI's Server for collecting the application
fee from the applicant in the very next day.
5. The e-challan will be available on the portal for printing in future.
6. Any problems encountered may be notified by sending an e-mail to echallan@nehu.ac.in
7. Candidates wishing to apply for more than one post must generate different e-challans for each
post applied for.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Applications received after the last date, incomplete in any respect or violative of any condition
shall not be considered.

3. In service candidates should invariably send their application(s) through proper channel
4. The candidates, however, can submit their applications as an Advance Copy
5. The original application through proper channel of shortlisted candidates, if employed, should
reach this University before the date of interview or alternatively the candidates are required to
submit a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE, from the present employer on the date of interview.
6. For the posts reserved for PWD, the minimum degree of disability is 40%. The candidates are
required to produce necessary documents issued by the competent authority so as to
substantiate that they belong to that category, failing which their application will be rejected
out rightly.
7. Candidates applying against post reserved for OBC category must submit a valid (up-to-date)
“Non Creamy Layer” Certificate from the appropriate authority.
8. A person applying for more than one post(s) should send separate application for each post.
9. Serial No. and name of post applied for should be clearly mentioned in the Application form.
10. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview. The University
reserves its right to place a reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for
interview. Fulfillment of essential qualifications perse does not entitle a candidate to be called
for interview
11. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates called for interview
12. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised posts at any time without
assigning any reasons thereof. The right is also reserved within the University either to fill or not
to fill any post(s).
13. The selected candidate should be ready to serve at either of the Campuses of NEHU.
3. 14. The University shall verify the antecedents/documents submitted by the candidate at the time
of appointment or any time during the tenure of service. In case, it is detected that the
documents submitted are fake or the candidate has clandestine background and has
suppressed the said information, his/her service shall be terminated forthwith.
15. The University may relax the qualification/experience and age limit at its discretion at any stage
in case of candidates with exceptional merit.
16. In case of dispute/suit or legal proceedings against the University the jurisdiction shall confine to
the Court of Meghalaya only.

(A) QUALIFICATIONS
(i) A Graduate from a recognized University
(ii) Must have at least 10(ten) years experience in administrative/elementary accounts
work in Govt./Semi Govt. or in autonomous organizations.
