A social activist from Noida aims at providing quality food to poor and needy people at a minimal cost Dadi Ki Rasoi a name which translates to The Grandmother s Kitchen is a roadside food shop

2. ⦿Anoop Khanna completed his B.Sc. from
Rohelkhand University and Graduated
from Hindu College, Moradabad in 1978.
⦿Anoop has always been keenly involved
with the social issues and thus he has
over the years worked towards
benefiting the society as whole. Now He
is keeping humanity alive by feeding
hungry souls.

3. ⦿Anoop Khanna is a noida based social
activist who started this venture to
provide home cooked food to as many as
possible.
⦿Food is sold to more than 500 people
everyday just for a nominal cost of Rs 5.

4. ⦿He named this venture as “Dadi Ki Rasoi”.
His aim is to provide healthy food to
everyone who is not able to afford it.
⦿Starting from Rickshawala’s to vendors,
all are eating food from these stalls.

5. ⦿The reason of charging these 5 Rs instead
of providing free food, was to give
dignity to the person who is buying the
lunch and also the cost is minimal so
everyone can afford it without worrying
of cost.
⦿He invested 30,000 initially for the setup.

6. ⦿He also started receiving donations from
other people who wanted to work for a
social cause.
⦿“Shopkeepers give me raw materials at a
discounted price. Many residents donate
special meals on special occasions like
birthday, wedding anniversary and so on.
Their support is immense.” – Said Anoop

7. ⦿He has CCTV cameras installed to the
place where food is being cooked, to
ensure the quality and everything.
Anoop itself monitors all the recording.
⦿According to Anoop, there are three
things necessary for everyone: Food,
Clothes and medicines.

8. ⦿In 2017, He also opened “Pradhan Mantri
Jan Anushadi Kendra” in Noida. He has
two medical stores in Noida catering to
the needs in emergency.
⦿Apart from providing food to the needy
one’s, Anoop also sells clothes to the
poor at only Rs 10 once in fifteen days,
along with books, and shoes in his
Sadhbhavana store.

9. ⦿His Vision is to improve infrastructure (to
have wholesale markets available in noida
and to create jobs for more people),
Improve Sanitation (Waste disposal,
Community Toilets etc) and to Reduce
Corruption.
⦿Anoop initiated a No Fuel Day drive in Noida
to spread the message of Energy
Conservation. He is also involved with
providing quality education to children from
poorer sections of the society.

10. ⦿As per Anoop, He will personalize the
change he wants to see in the society.
