2. PC Mustafa, story of a man who was born in
lower-middle class family, his biggest ambition at
that time was just to wear a clean white shirt to
school every day, like some of his privileged
classmates.
He was a son of a daily wager who grew up in
Chennalode, a remote village in Wayanad district
of Kerala.
3. Mustafa was so weak in studies and even he got
failed in 6th standard. This was a much needed
shock for him.
His maths teacher, Mathew sir suggested his
father to give him another chance and Mustafa
proved himself, he came first in class seventh.
4. Later Mustafa secured admission in Farooq
College in Kozhikode (Calicut) for his pre
university course and then got admission in NIT,
Calicut.
He got his first job in Motorola, Bangalore.
Company sent him to Ireland for a project and
then he shifted to Citibank, Dubai.
5. With Citibank, his monthly salary was more than 1
lakh. He sent his first salary 1.3 lakh to his father
to pay all his debts. His father wasn’t able to
believe that his son’s one month salary is more
than his lifetime debt. Holding that money even
brought tears to his eyes.
After working for 7 years, Mustafa returned to
Bangalore in 2003 and enrolled for MBA at IIM,
Bangalore.
6. He was having no dreams of becoming
Entrepreneur, he wanted to be an Engineer.
When one of his cousin suggested the idea of
making Dosa batter and supplying it fresh.
Mustafa decided to invest in it and he invested
25,000 to start the company immediately.

7. Mustafa and his cousins came together and found
a small place of around 550 square feet and
started with just two grinders, a mixer and a
sealing machine.
As they planned to supply fresh Idli and Dosa
batter so they named this venture as “ID Fresh”.
8. From making 10 packets of batter everyday with
the help of 5 people only they grown up to an
organization of 1300 employees making 50,000
packets a day.
iD Fresh Food, a private limited company, was
founded in 2005 by Mustafa and his four cousins -
Abdul Nazer, Shamsudeen TK, Jafar TK and
Noushad TA. Mustafa holds 50 percent share in
the company.
9. As the demand of their company was increasing
day by day, Mustafa invested another 40 lakh in
2008 and again in 2009 he sold one of his
property in Kerela to invest another 30 lakh into
the business.
Soon they expanded their business to Dubai as
well. They are also planning to expand it in other
countries (US, Malaysia, Singapore etc).
10. Today ID fresh is producing more than 50,000 kg
every day in their main plant in Bangalore with the
total investment of around Rs 4 crore (Rs 40
million) and revenue of more than Rs 100 crore
(Rs 1 billion).
