The Story of Mike the fish
Mike the fish was a bully. He had been a bully all his life. The other four fish in the bowl
hated him. He was the biggest so he would pick on the others, named Mick, Mac, Mark, and Joe
Fish. Mike would call them names like: Miniscule Fool, Micro Joe, Puny Toon, and many other
harsh names. The reason Mike was the biggest was because whenever they would get fed he
would take most of the food. One day the other fish got tired of putting up with Mike’s
shenanigans and developed a plan to escape to the other fish bowl right next to theirs. They
figured that because they were so small and light that they could build enough speed to make
the jump and that Mike was too fat to. They planned to make the escape that night so it would
be dark and harder for Mike to see them and try to stop them.
That night they got together to get ready to make the jump. They got in the bottom corner
of the bowl and counted to three. On the count of three they jetted towards the surface and
flew out of the water. Mick, Joe Fish, and Mark made it safely but, Mac overshot the bowl and
landed right in front of the window above the bowl. Luckily it was a very windy night and the
window was open so the wind blew Mac safely into the bowl. The four fish were excited to be
away from Mike. Mike, however, was not happy at all because his favorite pastimes were
making fun of them and taking their food. He knew he wouldn’t be able to make the jump
because he was fat and out of shape so he started training. Every day Mike would swim laps
around the fish bowl to lose weight and get faster. After about a month of training he was
ready.
2. Mike planned to make the jump that day so the other fish would be scared when they see
him coming. He swam to the bottom corner of the bowl and counted to three and on the count
of three he rocketed up to the surface and shot out of the water. He was so excited to get back
at the other fish but, he had lost too much weight and had gotten too strong and way overshot
the bowl. This day the window was open and he flew out the window and into the pond below
where he was promptly eaten by a turtle. The other fish were ecstatic because they didn’t have
to put up with Mike anymore. They partied the rest of the day and lived wonderful, happy lives
after.
