AS Film Opening Script

1. Script
EXT. FIELD. NIGHT.
LI is running across a field, concentrating on where he is going so he is
not looking back. He is panting and exhausted/short of breath as if he has
been running for a while. Lights appear over the hills and dogs are
seeking him.
MAKE UP - blood, sweat, cuts and scars
COSTUME - LI is wearing worn and torn casual clothing
PROPS – No props
SOUND - NON DIAGETIC SOUND - Action/Suspense music, dogs barking
INT. ROOM. NIGHT.
ROSALINE is tied to a chair and is being interrogated and tortured for
information. The ANTAGONIST is already in the room. ROSALINE refuses to
give up this information. She has already been beaten across the
face. Her hair is gripped by the ANTAGONIST. The ANTAGONIST is wearing
cammo trousers and a dark coloured tank top.
ANTAGONIST: I don’t have all night… for the last time who are you?
ROSALINE doesn’t answer and she is backhanded across the face by the
ANTAGONIST.
ANTAGONIST: You are indeed stupid and very stubborn. What organisation are
you from and why are you here?
ROSALINE still doesn’t answer.
ANTAGONIST: It seems there is only one way to do this.
The ANTAGONIST is about to strike again when the screen turns black and we
hear her scream.
COSTUME - casual clothing
PROPS - chair, rope
SOUND – DIEGETIC SOUND from the dialogue
The camera flips back to LI making his way to the woods where a backpack
full of equipment left for LI to find is entwined within a tree. A note is
left in the bag stating 'You owe me' LI looks at the contents of the bag.
Ends with the title scene.
