The Level 3 Diploma has been developed to provide learners with an advanced knowledge and
understanding of the practices and processes of engineering and technology.
It covers knowledge, understanding and skills that have been identified in order to operate
effectively in a job role within the Engineering Sector and are relevant to a wide variety of
study routes.
This qualification has been designed for learners studying on a part-time or full-time basis,
that are interested in pursuing a career in the engineering sector.
This qualification has two mandatory units, which provides learners with an understanding of
engineering environmental health and safety and organisational efficiency and improvement and
a number of rail track infrastructure specific units:
Upon completion, you will have been equipped with an advanced knowledge of rail track
infrastructure, practical experience within the working environment, providing you will a
number of progression opportunities, including an entry position as a Rail Track Operative.
