Marel Q1 2024 Investor Presentation from May 8, 2024
Changing company culture
1.
2. It can take a while to convince
people to adapt to something
new, so how do you go about it
in your business?
3. The Comfort Zone
• It’s likely that your
employees and even
yourself have a certain
way of doing things
ingrained.
• Things become
comfortable and to step
away from the familiar
into something new can
feel like a huge risk.
4. Introducing Change
• In big companies, there are
more people to convince to
come round to your way of
thinking.
• In a smaller team, the day-to-
day operations are often even
deeper entrenched.
• Introducing change has to be
tactful and clear.
5. What are the changes you are
making and why?
• You will have to be able to clearly communicate this to your
employees, so make sure you can back up your reasoning.
• Ask your employees’ opinions before setting your mind on a
change. Involving them in the process will make them more
responsive to the changes.
6. Start At The Top
• Once you have convinced the most influential people in
your business to accept your point of view, it will be easier
to get others on board, as they will be able to help spread
the word.
7. New Employees
• When employing
new staff, make your
company culture
very clear to them so
they know where
they stand from day
one.
8. What are the benefits of the
changes?
• A change to your company
culture should always be
something that will improve
your business.
• Ensure your employees know
that through this
improvement, their job will
become better.
9. Have you ever
made a major
change to your
company culture?
How did you
introduce it, and
how was it
received?
