The All India Kisan Sabha has called for mass actions against hate in Maharashtra by condemning consistent attempts to stigmatize minority communities and allow hate speeches in the state. They note that 21 such hate events have been allowed since December 14th, causing deep concerns among the population more focused on economic issues like rising prices and unemployment. They call upon democratic organizations and peace-loving citizens to counter hate propaganda with messages of solidarity and hope, as progressive Maharashtra is under threat from regressive, right-wing forces of hate that go against the state's history and Constitution which enshrines equality, fraternity and non-discrimination.
