Caterpillar using LEGO blocks
We want to create this product
because we search robot object
that uses Lego by using Internet.
Then that robot car appeared. We
thought that object is interesting
so we select this product.
We first time to see the product
that have many wheels.
1st Product Prototype using Tinkercad
To create prototype with
Tinkercad. The original photo was
complex so we had to do deep
observation. 

We would create caterpillar so we
should to understand with assembly
of caterpillar and system of
caterpillar.  
 2nd Product Prototype using 123D
Design.
"123D Design" the same way as
Tinckercad, can be used to create
a prototype using 3D graphics.
Tinckercad is cloud-based. So, it
can be used only in the browser.
However, "123D Design" can be
downloaded from the internet.
Therefore, it can be used in local
area. 
 3rd Product Prototype using 123D
Make.
This software take in 123D Design
model.

And setting the option for create new
model. Set to 10 the division
number. Next, set the size of model.
Finally, To show the developed parts.
You can create this object in real life
based on this developed parts.
1st Materials
First product prototype(materials) The main rotor of ‘helicopter emergency medical service’ used a
composite material (glass fiber). And the body of Dr.Helicopter is used metal and glass etc. These
materials such as composite material (glass fiber), metal, and glass is possible to use. Because, it is
not difficult to collect these materials. The main rotor is required to have excellent flexibility and
durability. In addition, the entire mass must not be too heavy. The material should be durable.
Because, the ‘helicopter emergency medical service’ fly the sky to rescue people in the affected
areas and high winds. Color is an important feature. Because,it must be a bright visible colors such
as a red in order to enhance visibility from the ground.

First product prototype(constructions) A motor is need to turning the wings of object, and a battery
for storing electricity, and need a tool to rescue the patient. The construction require any special
skill. The repair of the helicopter must have its own license. However, do not need special skills in
reproduction by 3D printer. The object need attachment like stands and handles. Stands is need to
support the body of object, and door is need handles. If material is metal, it be attached by
welding, and if material is plastic, it be attached by an adhesive. In stands, shape of attachment is
Rod-like. In handle, shape of attachment is rectangle that is rounded such as easy to grip.

Identify three important problems you faced during the
construction of the product prototypes using 123D Design
and Make software.
・ First problem is that download version "123D Design" force-quit
frequently. If you use 123D Design in low specs PC, it will force-quit
frequently.
・ Second problem is that We can not be edited in their own design
that is present from the beginning to the "123D Design".
・ When we were applying the design was made with “123D
Design” in “123D Maker”, it may not be reliably reflect.
Group member planning Lego Design
Group member planning Lego Design Our group is two people to
the creation of the artifacts using the 123D design and 123D
make. The other is going to create a Web site based on it.
Design was created using a simple color and block. For the
execution phase is to solve the problems that get started with
everyone on the day good of all of the circumstances, where it
can be a problem we are stepping on the stage to unravel in
each time. In addition, Lego creation, has been left to the
people who worked in the last challenge.
