POSITION OVERVIEW
Etix seeks to add an experienced Front End Web Designer/Developer to our existing group of Java developers.
The ideal candidate will have a firm grounding in modern User Interface design methods and writes front end
code so clean it shines. This person will be capable of driving a clear path to a UI overhaul for our ticketing
system—both for the B2C and B2B sides of the application. This position reports to the Chief Product Officer.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 Expert-level AJAX/CSS/HTML.
 Passion for object-oriented JavaScript and UI programming using client-side libraries like jQuery and YUI.
 Experience working with JSON and RESTful web services.
 Ability to work collaboratively with design, product management, and engineering teams.
 Deep knowledge of web standards, CSS-based design, and cross-browser compatibility.
 Experience working with Git, CVS or other VCS.
 Savvy in mobile devices/OS/browsers.
 Strong communication and teamwork skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be challenged with exciting engineering problems while staying on top of the latest front end trends,
technologies and standards.
Specifically, the Front End Engineer will:
 Work with the engineering team to develop features/functionalities for our applications with a focus on the
client side.
 Redesign existing UI's and implement new UI's.
 Coordinate with Software Architect to implement and optimize scalable framework for web applications.
 Set and enforce standards for interface development within the organization.
 Provide tools and training for developers as needed.
 Research competing platforms and contribute to the product development process.
 Evolve and build out the Etix application style guide.
 Actively participate in QA process.
