2. Pak-China friendship and business forum is about to develop the good and positive relations
among both countries. COMSATS Institute of Information Technology has done this forum 34th
time. This is a great and learning opportunities for students, especially management sciences
students who mostly have intentions to start their business in future. Through it students come to
know about different products and services offered by Chinese companies and their way of
operations.
Pak-China business forum was held from March 21st
to 24th
. During this event I learned so many
things and did negotiations to some extent with some companies. The company with I did
negotiation is ‘GUANGZHOU EASY WAY IMP.& EXP. CO. LTD.’ This company basically
supply materials including doors, tiles, windows, staircase handrails, sanitary ware, kitchen
cabinet and wardrobe etc. I made this company agree to launch their outlet here in Pakistan.
How I did so? Basically my Father is in a construction company and I also done my internship in
Construction Company, where these types of products are required mostly. Like doors, windows,
kitchen cabinets and wardrobes etc., also I’m having some experience about such wooden
products and about their demand here in Pakistan because we’re operating this business in my
hometown. So, I gave them the reference of the company where I did internship and told them
that there is a lot of requirement of your products. What they required from me is that, we should
place an order first and get their products and if we’re satisfy and there is more need for their
products then they would probably come into Pakistan and would invest here by FDI.
Finally, this was much healthy activity about Pak-China friendship; it gives a lot of experience to
students to talk to foreigners and to gain knowledge about their products. When China is going to
do FDI here in Pakistan, we would be having more variety of products and Pakistan’s economy
will boost and its balance of trade would go to surplus by more exports.
