Information is both a valuable asset and an expensive burden. It fuels the success of your business. But how do you go about making up-to-date information available to all your employees—even when they’re not connected to the network? How can you lower the costs of assembling and distributing information to both desktop and mobile users? And how do you eliminate the risks and lost productivity that occur when people can’t find or access the latest, most current information? These are difficult, complex questions. And Rocket is ready to answer them.
Let me introduce you to Rocket Folio/NXT, our robust enterprise search, content management and enterprise content publishing solution that’s accessible via the workstation, web or mobile device. The Alaska State Legislature relies on Rocket Folio to update and distribute statutes, legislative minutes, journals and the state constitution to the public, and to elected officials and civil servants. Rocket Folio/NXT allows entire documents - and parts of documents - to be easily searched, updated and catalogued.
According to Shay Wilson (who is the Supervisor for Networking and Programming) there are more than 41,600 sections of the Administrative Code, which can be tricky to manage. "Each of these sections are several pages, so we’re dealing with a massive amount of information," he notes. "It's a lot of data, and it's always changing. Rocket Folio/NXT gives us the ability to truly manage electronic versions of all of our files."
Now that you have had a chance to see how other government agencies use Folio/NXT, I invite you to try it for yourselves. Visit our demo site with your favorite web browser, try things out, perform searches, get a feel for it.
Once you have had an opportunity to do that, try it again on a mobile device such as an iOS device or Android device to see how dynamic the mobile UI is. No need for users to pinch to zoom to read documents, no features are stripped down or limited from the desktop browser to the mobile device. You can rotate the device and the UI automatically fits to the screen, users don’t need to reload the page or try and resize things themselves. See how the table of contents moves out of the way when viewing documents so maximum screen real estate is provided for best readability.
You can provide the same, consistent user experience on any platform without additional training or requiring development effort to create a set of templates that work for certain platforms. One solution, out of the box, for any platform.
