2. What is the Simple Present?
什么是一般现在时
• The Simple Present is used to express an action that
is repeated or usual, for example a hobby, a routine,
or a habit. 一般现在时表示通常性、规律性、习惯
性的动作。例如：习惯、日常工作、习性。
• Examples: 例如：
– I play football with friends. 我和朋友踢足球。
– I read at night. 我在晚上读书。

3. • It can also be used to express facts or general
ideas. 一般现在时表示客观事实或普遍真理
。
• Examples: 例如：
– Men like sports. 男人喜欢体育。
– Fish do not like milk. 鱼不喜欢牛奶。
– Shanghai is a big city. 上海是一座大都市。

4. • Simple Present is sometimes used to describe
events in the near future. 一般现在时表示将
来发生的事件。
• Examples: 例如：
– Training begins at 3pm. 培训在下午 3 点开始。
– The bus leaves at 8. 公交汽车在八点开车。

5. Simple Present: “Be” statements
一般现在时：肯定句
I 我 am 是 John. 约翰
You 你 are 是 happy. 快乐的

6. Simple Present: “Be” negative statements
一般现在时：否定句
