Synopsis
• Multi Narrative Zombie Thriller!
• The story follows two main protagonists as
they try to fend off zombies that try to
attempt and break into their hideout.
• The short film will be based around 3 main
  prosthetic events.
• Locations will consist of a main hideout, a
multi story car park and a residential garden.
Audience
• Males… Females too.
• 18+.
• Previous zombie film and computer games.
• Thriller, Sci-Fi, and Horror fans.
• Reads comics.
• Escapist. External reality
Prosthetic Events
• 1. Secateurs to the eye. The protagonist in a blind
state of panic attacks what he thinks is a zombie
but finds out is a survivor.
• 2. Axe to the stomach. Again the protagonist

finds an axe and drives it into the zombie’s
  abdomen. (Possibly spilling intestines).
• 3. Baseball bat/plank of wood in an epic zombie
melee scene (inspiration from La Horde).

Editing Style
• A less hectic/comic editing style taking
  influence from Ed Wright.
• Combined with a realistic style of editing
much like 28 Days Later ‘Chris Gill’.
• Quick sharp cuts without the added sound
  effects ‘swoosh, whip, whoosh’.
• Foley will play a fundamental role in
  manufacturing the atmosphere.
Lighting
• In a zombie film we believe that lighting is one
of the most important aspects when creating
  atmosphere.
• It is the key between separating student style
filming and a professional piece of media.
• Within the genre of horror/thriller lighting is
an effective tool to create suspense and a
  sense of foreboding.
Health & Safety
• Risk assessments before shoot
• Risk assessments on shoot
• If public filming Contact local authorities
• Step 1 - Identify the hazards
• Step 2 - Decide who might be harmed and how
• Step 3 - Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions
• Step 4 - Record your findings and implement them
• Step 5 - Review your assessment and update if necessary

• Public could be at risk too, so we need to make it clear we are filming,
signs and maybe some crew members doing blocking off.
THANK YOU
