Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have expanded their Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) to allow more homeowners to refinance their mortgages. Under the new HARP guidelines, homeowners can refinance regardless of their credit score, may have had prior late payments or bankruptcies, and can refinance mortgages on primary residences, second homes, or investment properties. Mortgage brokers Rick Underwood and Gamble Yeung of TNG Mortgage can help determine if a homeowner's mortgage is owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac and check eligibility for the expanded HARP program.
