3. Abraham Changed (Gen. 12)
He left everything he knew to move
to a foreign land
He Changed because
He trusted in God
He believed that the change would
bring something better
He believed obedience would take
him there
4. The Israelites Changed (Ex. 6)
They transformed from a large group
of slaves into a nation
They Changed because
God empowered their transformation
The Lord would bring them “out from
under the burdens of the Egyptians” v7
Matt. 19:26 - “With men this is
impossible, but with God all things are
possible.”
5. Manasseh Changed (2 Chr. 33)
Changed from Evil to Good
He Changed because
God brought him back to Jerusalem
He had a drive to cast out all the idols in
the House of the Lord
Cast out the Old Yoke
2 Cor. 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a
new creation; old things have passed
away; behold, all things have become
new.”
6. Christ’s Yoke brings Rest
28 Come to Me, all you who labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon
you and learn from Me, for I
am gentle and lowly in heart, and
you will find rest for your
souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My
burden is light.” Matt. 11
