This document outlines the schedule and topics for a 4-day professional training on concentrating solar power (CSP) project planning held in Amman, Jordan from August 19-22, 2013. The training was organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Energy, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and covered topics such as CSP technologies, solar resource assessment, project types and structures, planning, procurement, implementation, operation, and the use of software tools for project simulation. Speakers from DLR, RCREEE, and other organizations presented on these topics to help participants develop skills for planning CSP projects. Country representatives also reported on their renewable energy developments.
