1. WebQuest
Introduction
You are the general manager at a local grocery store. It is your job to determine which item goes where. An executive from
corporate is coming to inspect your store. If everything is not where it should be, then your store could be at risk to get shut
down.
Task
You must work with your employees to ensure that everything is in the proper place. You should assign each employee to
differentiate between different foods. For example:
1. Manager – You are in charge of distinguishing between fruits and vegetables.
2. Assistant Manager – You are in charge of distinguishing between white and red meat.
3. Assistant Manager 2 – You are in charge of distinguishing which foods are organic.
Process
You will hold a store meeting and have your three managers assist you in getting the store properly organized.
After everyone is clear on their specific task then it is time to start. In order to ensure that everything is where it should be,
research is to be done. You will each need to research your individual foods that you have been assigned to differentiate between.
When everyone is finished with their research then you will need to make sure the food is properly placed in the correct location.
You will need to site the websites in which you found your information. You will turn in your research to the executive from
corporate (the teacher).
Be prepared to give reasoning for why you placed each food in the current location. Also be prepared to explain to your
employees (classmates) why you put the specific foods in the specific locations.

2. Conclusion
Congratulations! You have passed the inspection! Your store will be allowed to continue operating. You have been offered to
complete inspections yourself, since your work was so satisfactory. If you choose to take the job (complete extra credit), here is
what you will need to do:
1. Research the importance of items being placed in their correct location
2. Be responsible for the placement of all items.
