Social cohesion is defined as the willingness of
members of a society to cooperate with each
other in order to survive and prosper.
Social cohesion in RMG is defined as the
willingness of members of a RMG sector to
cooperate with each other in order to survive
and prosper
Respect & Tolerance
Trust
Individual social network
Cooperation
Participation
Sociability
Economic support
Welfare receipt
Colleagues in factory are pleasant and co-
operative to work with
Sometimes the way people treat worker in
factory upsets worker.
Every worker trust with each other
from different background.
Example: Lost mobile phone & back
it.
Most of the time immediate
supervisor must be trusted person.
Colleagues couldn`t interpret any
fault with immediate supervisor.
Easily ask for help when need
Easily make contact with
colleges & others.
Always someone help for any
problem.
Factory provide life insurance.
 Always willingly engage volunteers
activities in factory.

workers which satisfy the
workers.

Factory provide free treatment
charge of health for poor
worker.
 In factory our prime target is maximum
profit and maximum profit is totally
depended on the production rate.
 Before we know How social cohesion increase
the production rate, we have to know what
social cohesion can do?
 It can decrease the rate of labour strike and
violence.
 It can reduce the conflict among workers.
 It can build trust and respect among each
other.
 It can create a peaceful office environment.
 We know that the production rate mostly
depends on those above reason. So can
loudly say that social cohesion really very
important for RMG
 Reducing over all production
 Can not production delivery in proper time
 Decreased understanding
 Workers called Strike
 Sometimes workers got fire on factory
 Lacking of buyer
 Faced different types of harassment
1. Increase minimum wages
2. Workers support to
3. Incentive bonus
4. Festival bonus
5. Weekly holidays
6. Leaves and sick leaves
7. lunch facilities
8.But they do not support long working
hours,
9.Increasing Overtime value
10.Liberty without Oppression
and
11.Any type of harassment
Conflict can be resolved through increasing group
cohesion. There are many groups and sub-groups
internally visualized in the RMG factories. These
groups take pros and cons during the conflicts and
conflicting issues. Conflicts can be reduced and
group cohesion can be increased through paying
attention and respect to the demands of each
groups. Members of each group should respect and
listen to each other’s problems and look after
daily’s work and health condition. They should

  • 7. Colleagues in factory are pleasant and co- operative to work with
  • 8. Sometimes the way people treat worker in factory upsets worker.
