before we move any further let’s breakdown the word:
Eventquisite
(event-skwiz-it)
adj 1. An event marked by flawless, original craftsmanship, and ingenious
execution on a chic budget, with enough left over to buy a new vehicle wrap!
This column will highlight innovative NTR opportunities that have generated success for my
station. I will also share marketing trends; tips to ensure a successful event; and inspiration starters
that will get you through any brain freeze. For those that may need a quick “promo pick me up”
I also have a special segment just for you called “Promo 911.” Promotion Directors can email me
their promo dilemmas to be featured and addressed in the next issue. So send me your dilemmas

Now that you know what to
expect, it’s time for the first
highlight of a recently successful
NTR event.
Several months ago our station knew there was a hit emerging when we
heard Beyonce’s smash track “Single Ladies.” Well, inspired by the song,
and my love of ring pops, the WKYS Single Ladies Party emerged.
Men who came to the “WKYS Single Ladies Party” were given a ring pop
to put a “ring” on any lady of their choice for the evening. The lucky lady
who received the most ring pops won a real 3 karat diamond ring. I am
sure you are wondering how much this event cost WKYS, right? $0! In fact
we were able to generate revenue.
“WKYS Party-goers enjoy a surprise The diamond ring was secured on trade with a local jeweler and the
performance from Musiq Soulchild” event itself was sold to one of our local club partners. The evening was a
huge success and featured musical guests such as Musiq Soulchild, and
Ace Hood, with a grand finale performance of “Single Ladies”
from our Beyonce dancers.
Alright Promotion and Marketing gurus, it’s time to take it back
to the poor college kid days
and begin to conserve our coins
again. Budgets may be tight,
but our will to succeed is even
tighter.
Until next time; be bold,
be daring, be outrageously “OK, so we couldn’t snag B, but we did
unforgettable, and eventquiste! manage to snag a few lovely single ladies to
teach us how to do the single ladies dance”
“WKYS participant excited
after collecting 20 rings!”
