Four college freshmen have just had a party and need to quickly clean their dorm before their landlord arrives for an inspection. They receive a call that he will be there in five minutes. In a panic, they each assign chores like vacuuming, doing laundry, and taking out trash. However, one of them hides some garbage under a blanket. When the landlord arrives, he praises their clean dorm until the hidden garbage is discovered. He yells at them in Spanish for not doing a good job of cleaning. After he leaves, the students celebrate by planning another party.

1. Spanish Script – Cleaning the Dorm
A skit by: Cole Allen, Kelli Arnett, Sarah Trimble, Laura Isaac, and Sarah Hall
August 28th, 2010
Four College Freshmen have just had a big party. Their landlord is coming around for a surprise inspection, and everyone is still asleep.
-Desks are scattered, everyone appears hungover from ice cream, sugar, and pop, and we are all still asleep. (Some of us can have empty pop cans, some sugar, candy, or anything to serve as a prop)
-Kelli: Phone rings, answers slowly. Holaaaaaa…
-Cole: Hola, Voy a ir a comprobar la casa en cinco minutos, tan limpio por favor.
-Kelli: Bueno.
-Cole: Adios.
Both hang up. Everyone stays asleep for a good minute until I realize what Cole said.
-Kelli: Sits up in panic. Amigos! Despierta! Ay ay ay! Goes around shaking everyone for them to wake up. Senor Cole es viene para la inspeccion!
-Sarah H: Vamos a limpiar!
Everyone gets in a circle to discuss chores.
-Kelli: Yo puedo el bano y sacar la basura!
-Laura: Voy a paso la aspiradora y quito el polvo!
-Sarah T: Sugiero que tu lavar la ropa!
-Sarah H: Es importante que todos hacemos la camas!
Everyone starts acting out their chores. At some point, one of us hides a stack of garbage under a blanket or in a can inconspicuously. After a few minutes, we hear a knock at the door. (Someone will have to have a chore that involves going out the door in order to bring Cole back in, such as taking out the trash. Chores can be switched around according to who wants to carry Cole in.)
After we hear the knock at the door, we all stand there staring blankly. After a minute or so, the knock gets louder and harder. Everyone huddles up against the door, someone opens it, and Cole is brought in. We all then form an inspection line, like the Marines.
-Kelli: Shows Cole around the dorm, proving to him that it’s clean, such as doing things like running her finger across a desk and revealing no dust on said finger.
-Cole: Says various good things about the dorm such as: Muy Bien! Bueno! Es muy limpio!
-Kelli: Gracias! Adios Senor!
-Cole: De Nada! Adios!
As we all walk Cole out, Laura trips over our hidden stack of garbage. We all look at each other in panic and try to hide it, even though Cole can still see the trash.
-Cole: Points to the trash. Que es eso?
-Laura: No seeeee!
-Cole: Starts yelling various mean things in Spanish. Eso es muy malo! No esta limpio! Tu no hacer un bien trabajo! Es muy, muy pesimo!
While he’s yelling, we all stare at each other blankly. Sarah T promptly shuts the laptop. We all stare at each other again, this time smiling.
-Kelli: Vamos a la fiesta!
Everyone cheers!
Someone starts playing music on either the iPod or computer and we all dance and jam out as we walk out the door. Everyone comes back in and takes a bow.
The end!
