Social media is an exponential technology when you consider its year to year growth. This is what 60 seconds look like in the social world.

Behavior trends – Every 60 seconds individuals around the world create massive amounts of data and ‘things’. There are 3.3 million Facebook posts, 50 billion Whatsapp messages, 342,000 tweets just to name a few. That’s a lot of creation in 60 seconds. The key takeaway here is that this creation is now instant. No one needs to know HTML in order to share something only – they can simply take a photo, add a cool filter to it, and share it with the world. The barriers of entry to the Internet have been eliminated completely and now everyone is a creator.
With 27.3 Million followers on Twitter, POTUS45 changed everything. We can learn at least three things from @realdonaldtrump
The RealPressSec Bot helpfully reminds us that social posts are public records by automatically formating each tweet as official statement by the president.
What if an app could give you constant passive feedback to augment the half dozen self selected public representatives that show up for hearings on even the most arcane bills. The Cities of Santa Monika and West Sacramento are using an app called Cityswipe to bring Tinder-like feedback to public processes – “swipe right for better government.”
