Valery Medvedtsev was born in Izhevsk in
Udmurtia in 1964. A Soviet and Russian
biathlete, Honored Master of Sports of the
USSR ,Honored coach of Russia ,Champion
1988 Olympic Games in Calgary-it’s all one
man Valery Medvedtsev. He also won world
champion 4 times . Valery is the first ever
undisputed champion of the world biathlon .

In biathlon Valery Medvedtsev came by
accident . In the city of Izhevsk in the team
competition of the school number 64 he

shy student of the fifth form Valera, he shot
clean , but lost in the race .

After finishing his sports career he headed the
team of Udmurtia , which included his former wife ,
Olympic champion , Natalia Snytina .
Than he worked as a personal trainer of his wife also the Olympic champion Olga Dust .
From June 2010 - Russian men's national team
coach . In the spring of 2011 Medvedtsev said he
was leaving the Russian national biathlon team to
help his wife raise their children .
On June 15, 2011 - men's national team head
coach of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in biathlon .

Honored coach of Russia, Order of the Red
Banner, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR
So, Valery Medvedtsev brought a great
contribution in Udmurtian, Russian and world
sport.
